This exciting event marks the official opening of a birth to grade 5 school that includes the Hight Family Early Learning Center—a comprehensive early childhood education hub that serves children from six weeks through preschool.
The Margaret Chase Smith Community School is a true testament to community collaboration and generosity. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the School Board, KVCAP, the fundraising committee and the incredible support of donors, this beautiful new school has been constructed at no cost to the local communities of Skowhegan, Canaan, Cornville, Mercer, Norridgewock, and Smithfield.
